Thrift shop heaven

On my way to dinner tonight, which i thought was going to be in Kips Bay but turned out to be a block or two west in ‘little india’ I got off the bus a stop later than i ever had, exiting on 2nd Avenue at 24th Street.  Wanting to make my way over to Lexington Ave i headed west and looked up just as Was passing the Opera thrift store.  Amazing furniture… I got a hippo rather than the huge metal cabinet  wish i had room for.

Then out onto 24th and further west I immediately pass goodwill and salvation army.  You never know what you might find.  Then across to the North side of the street and there is Housing works.  There is something about these shops that always makes me feel good.  I resisted temptation saying the scrounging for another day.

Then a little indian grocery shopping at Kulustyan’s and off to dinner at Anjappar Chettinad.  But thats another post.
