kees chocolate   a disappointment… too many fancy flavors.

A lovely croquet monster at Cassis on the west side today on our way to ABT at Lincoln Center.  Th bread, from Tom Cat, was the best I’ve tried so far. On our walk home, on 60th Street there appeared a bakery, new to the neighborhood, Dinner at The Shadmoor, a bit disappointing but I […]

A perfect made for tv movie.  Wonderstruck is another example of two stories converging, you are left wondering how.  A few interesting characters but too many that aren’t.  If you haven’t noticed, I am not recommending it.

Peruvian on 7th near Bleeker street and Big Gay Ice Cream! Enjoying a vodka the Peruvian way, with pisco rather than vodka- I’m advocating for a permanent change.

The Sweet Life

Competing for the best, tho i think the last one I’ve been to is always the best….A tiny little shop on the edge of Chinatown, Delancey Street area if that means anything.  They carry their own home made chocolates (yes, tasty) and an assortment of European and penny candy.  I thought it was a good […]

Another day

Another walk, another wrong turn, another library, somewhere I’ve wanted to go and… yes, a new and unexpected chocolate shop With Essex Street market in mind and I library book to return I hopped on the F train and got off at Delancey. I had wanted to go one more stop but I misread my […]

Loving Vincent, Ballet, New friends

Another great day.  I do just keep putting one foot in front of the other, I can’t help but  stay cheerful – wandering is wonderful,  I smile at strangers… and something happens… beshert!  I meet Steve and Sally.  What fun…more on that later… for now, my day. My new MoviePass which keeps giving me […]

The Band’s Visit

This was one of those shows I went to see knowing very little about it.  I had read it was coming a few months go, bought a ticket and put it out of my mind.  A musical, I knew not what to expect.  When I go to a musical i expect something big like Hamilton […]

Loving Vincent

A delight to behold.  Animated with oil painting this visual masterpiece begs to be enjoyed.   I loved it.  The story, eh, who cares that much.  But the beauty… and who thought of it, who pulled it together.  How happy I am that they did.
