Amazingly there are two libraries at Lincoln Center, one on the plaza- The Library of Performing Arts and in back on Amsteradm is The Riverside Branch. Riverside is an ordinary library and the only branch that seems to have a book drop box, they also have game afternoons on Thursdays…Monopoly anyone?
Now, The Library of Performing Arts is wonderful. Every time I drop in they have a new exhibit. A few years ago the exhibit was abut the Beatles coming to America and the havoc surrounding it. In December there was an amazing display on the Nutcracker including original set dioramas and writing. This past week was Leonard Bernstein at 100. I just found out there are events almost every day, free and open to the public, like i don’t have enough to do.
