Selling the car has brought us to a few places we might never have seen
Earlier today we tried for xiao long bao in Brooklyn at Fei Food Market on 8th Avenue between 63/64. No parking but a reverse Citimapper search showed its 45 minutes on the N train to 8th and 62 from home. So I’m into it next week
Then off towards Jersey City and out the window a sign for the Hudson River walk. Not that I will get back but interesting to investigate perhaps
So where will we lunch on soup dumplings?
Perhaps East Flour which came up in a google search.
And yes, East Flour it is. From the looks of this counter service diner I would say until recently it was a sandwich shop, then added th chinese to the menu. And they did well.
I loved this swirled potato, it was crispy and well spiced
The leak pocket was really good, as was the Xiao Long Bao..
and don’t you love the spoon!
After lunch were disappointed to find the bakery closed, but we had a short lovely walk over.
More cherry blossoms.. everywhere but DC apparently.
