Hairy Leeks and Trumps Murderous Lie about the W.H.O.

I like these as an afternoon snack, and today was the day that finally all the ingredients came together.

A lovely large leek

Alfalfa Sprouts

A package of Boursin Herb Cheese

A jar of Apricot Jam

Salt and Garlic Powder

Cut off the tops and bottom of your leek. Slice along the side to open the leaves, rinse and set aside. Rinse your sprouts and set up a plate with half the cheese and a good helping of Apricot Jam

Set 3/4 of inch of salted water to boil in a sauce pan and wilt one or two pieces of leek at a time, set the softened leeks on paper towels and dry.

I have been known to use the back of a knife to scrape away the slime from the leeks.

Sprinkle with garlic powder and salt

To build your bites add a smaller than finger sized row of cheese, a small amount of jam and sprouts on the near side. Put a swipe of cheese on the far side, this will act as glue to keep your rolls closed.

slice your rolls into bite sized pieces… and enjoy.
